Podcast #000: The Tom and Dina Show

April 12th, 2007

OK, this time Tom takes on Dina for another version of our podcast test, but this time we’ll go ahead and label it as podcast #000. This is because the next podcast you hear will be podcast #001. That’s right – we’re going live! We’ve now seen Dina in action and, according to her, it’s time for all the non-geeks to unite and demand that “audioholics everywhere start talking in English.”

Well, after that little comment, I think we all know where you stand. Let’s see how everyone else feels though.

Congratulations Dina, you’re the winner of the “stuck with Tom doing a weekly podcast for the rest of your natural life” contest. Have a glass of wine and some chocolate. It makes taking bad news that much easier… 🙂

Sweeeeeeeeet. I was voting for Dina. And it’s even better that J (Dina’s servant and dutiful husband but obvious lesser half) gets to play as well during special episodes of “stump the AV guy”… Ok, I made that title up but Tom and J will be answering listeners’ questions via Skype…

Congrats, Dina – now we get some feminine flair to the podcast. We’ve just quadrupled our listening audience potential!

Excuse me, I don’t mean to be picky but why isn’t it the Dina and Tom Show? You know, Divas… I mean, Ladies first.

You don’t get to complain until we get a bio. I’ll let the picture slide until Tuesday but you’ve got no excuse on the bio. Don’t worry, I’ve got one started for you. It begins, “There was once a great and terrible ring of power that fell into a hobbit’s hands. That hobbit? Dina. Known for the having the hairiest feet in all hobbitdom, she was an unlikely hero…”

One ring to rule them all! Ah, the power! (PS Working on the bio. Promise.)
