48 hours
The last 48 hours have been brutal. With a 2-1/2 week trip to China looming, I am going crazy trying to get caught up with my Audioholics writing, not to mention that other publication that shall not be named. I have way too many sets of speakers – 5.1 sets, and a few articles/reviews I am finishing up. In the past 48 hours, I have driven out to the highway to meet a guy in an 18 wheeler where we offloaded a pallet from his rig into my pickup truck, transported said pallet to my house then made Dina unload it with me into my garage, gone to a school meeting about my daughters honors classes for next year (yawn), then come home to begin assembling the industrial strength (and weighted) furniture (that is what was on the pallet) from StudioTech, finding a little time to sleep, then waking up and writing for 3 hours, then returning to my listening room where I continued the puzzle of trying to figure out how to suspend 2 grids of SpaceCoupler arrays from my ceiling to complete the acoustic treatments to my room. I finally figured out a system to hang them (I will tell you all about in my upcoming review at Audioholics, trust me), then cleaned up and moved things in and out of the room. Next comes the UPS lady with a couple of boxes containing my Emotiva gear – they weighed something like 8 zillion pounds each – and I drug them into the house….. Then I get a call from Yamaha wanting to send me yet MORE stuff to review, then the email from NHT wanting to hook me up with the engineer who designed the speakers I am getting ready to review, then all the boxed up speakers I need to return to KEF……
The point is, it is a bit stressful around here at the moment. If the post is jumbled, well, so am I. But I love this, I really do…
Sweet – so I should expect like 400 articles in the next 2 days!
Seriously, though – this is exactly how I get about once a month, except that you are substituting shorter reviews but having MANY MORE of them… You’ve got your work cut out. Let’s pray for some local help that can contribute to the reviewers pool and simplify things a bit.
And, yes, I know you still love it despite the craziness!
clint- YGM.
: )
OMG, hug it out why don’t you ya big girls
Just for that I’m sending Tom some more big outdoor speakers to review… and maybe a couple of magic rocks.
Speaking of magic rocks – those guys WILL send you products to review… they are mostly clueless and still figure bad publicity is publicity. I say we round of a few just for fun. Tom is the man.
I second that!
