I’m so tired of all these people bitch’n and complain’n about not having access to Hulu. Well, finally someone has both figured it out AND had the balls to post it. Over at NewTeeVee they did just that. I have no idea if it works or not but it must, it’s on the Internet right? Anyway, make sure you report back and let me know and enjoy it while it lasts. It’s only a matter of time before Hulu or someone else shuts it down.
On a separate note – Why? Why can’t you people have access? It’s all ad dollars anyways? It isn’t like you can’t find those same products on the same Internet that you’re watching Hulu on. It’s so stupid it makes my head spin. And don’t give me that “marketing rights” crap. Tell me you people aren’t irritated that you have to wait months for American shows to be aired. There is no reason for that delay other than pure sadism. Screw’em I say. Someone round up all the marketing people, ad execs, and crusty old men that make these decisions have force them to watch 24 hours of Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers, and Yo Gaba Gaba! as punishment for their foolishness. Bad boy! BAD BOY! (And maybe girl but probably boy.)
Here’s what may have happened – If you haven’t used it in as little as a week (according to the tech support rep I spoke to), it can “lose sync” or reset. You’ll get a “service temporarily unavailable” message. This happened to me when I sent my XBox in for repair. You can call Netflix customer support and have them walk you through it or you can follow these simple instructions: Read more…
Got a question and you don’t want to wait for the next podcast? Maybe you just need some clarification on something? Here’s your chance. Tom’s feeling guilty about the no podcast this week thing so he’s dusting off that Ustream account and signing in around 12 noon eastern for some Q&A. The way it works is you can see and hear him but you’ll have to type out your questions. Click here to participate (or at least listen in).

I could give you a lot of reasons why there won’t be a podcast this Thursday. I could say that it was because I was in a car accident today. I could say it was because we already posted a podcast on Monday. I could claim technical difficulties or too many planes or the fact that I’m coming down with a cold or just about anything. There have been two previous times I’ve rejected a podcast – one before the first podcast we ever published (nearly two years ago). One about a year ago that Dina was kind enough to redo the next day. This time we did have some technical difficulties – the lag was pretty bad. The video cut in and out which was also very distracting. But the simple fact is that this podcast wasn’t up to snuff. We couldn’t keep on topic, it was disjointed, and, frankly, it just wasn’t good enough. While I could fall back on the “it’s only a podcast, people expect it to be a little raw” argument, that’s not me. Dina and I haven’t worked this hard for two years to put out a substandard podcast and just say, “Oops! We’ll do better next time.” Mike from Philly, Mike, and Jason, I got all your questions off the voicemail and I’ll answer them next time. See ya next week!
