Live Q&A with Tom
May 1st, 2009
Got a question and you don’t want to wait for the next podcast? Maybe you just need some clarification on something? Here’s your chance. Tom’s feeling guilty about the no podcast this week thing so he’s dusting off that Ustream account and signing in around 12 noon eastern for some Q&A. The way it works is you can see and hear him but you’ll have to type out your questions. Click here to participate (or at least listen in).

where am I supposed to chat on ustream?
ditto
I’ve signed up for twitter and ustream and still don’t see it. Using firefox and IE.
maybe I need to be using linux.
or facebook…which is blocked at work.
sorry guys, there should be a chat box on the ustream page, you might have to be signed in to ustream to use it though.
I was afraid of having too many things open while I was streaming and didn’t see these comments until too late. I’ll do it again soon and hopefully have some clearer instructions.
chat wasn’t working…after further investigation, it seems our corporate fw is blocking outbound tcp6667, which is used for IRC.
Hi Tom,
I caught the last 5 minutes of your Q&A. I have refused to twitter, so far, I hate the premise!, but, may have to in order to catch you live. I will have to think of some decent questions to have on hand for the next one. Very cool.
Are you going to use ustream again?, if so I will create an account there.
Hey post picture of car. Maybe it will take a couple of mph off everyone’s average speed.
The other Tom
Is there any way for you to record these uStream chats? Obviously, not everyone can be available for every chat, so a lot of us sort of “miss out” when we cannot be there “live”.
Tak – I’ll see what I can do. Rob – there is, I’ll look into it. I plan on doing it again, soon. Keep an eye on the website, facebook, twitter and just about everywhere else. I’ll try to give you guys at least a few hours notice.
