Operators are standing by…
I wish I was clever enough to make this up as a comedy bit. You know, a sarcastic rant for the blog that is, well, so ridiculous that it is funny. But I’m not making this up. I am on a flight, and in the SkyMall catalog is the HOME THEATER WATCH.
An astonishing home theater system that fits on your wrist!
Forget it, I’m not even gonna try to put anything in my own words. Let me just give you the details straight from the magazine!
Imagine what it would be like if you could view your favorite full length film while in the comfort of your office chair, riding on the train, waiting at the doctor’s office, or even waiting in line at the coffee shop!
Gee, that is hard to imagine, since I have been living under a rock for the past couple of years and have never heard of a video iPod….
Just like the name suggests, The Home Theater Watch is designed to give you the experience of a home theater with the functionality of a watch.
Well, all the functionality except multiple speakers, a subwoofer, a large screen… Oh wait – I didn’t read far enough into the description yet:
The screen is a stunningly LARGE 1.5 inches and features a brilliant 260K display capability.
My bad. Sorry. Scratch the lack of large screen comment…

Whoops. That was going to be your Father’s Day gift. Back to the drawing board…
Maybe you can get one for each hand, then hold them up and do some stereoscopic home theater viewing! Wow, that would be sweet! 3D video on your wrists! I hope the guy in line behind you at the coffee shop doesn’t punch you in the face during your awesome 3D movie… That’s some pretty sweet 3D, you can even feel the movie! (for action scenes only)
ooh ooh, i smell a father’s day gift for my hubby… that would be great, he can watch the football game AND drive, this will be sooooo safe!
Oh come on now. Its $100 cheaper then a video Ipod.
Plus, think about how much you’ll save on cables.
Does it have YPAO?
Does it have a calculator function?
I hear they are coming out with a wedding band version – imagine how cool that would be!
the wedding band one would be nice because when your wife caught you looking at the screen you could turn the ring around quickly and say, “no dear, i wasn’t watching anything, i was looking at my wedding band and thinking about our wonderful marriage”.
the ability to watch movies AND improve your marriage with one little gadget!
i must get in on the marketing of this…
