I love being a reviewer… the glamour… the free gear… the beautiful women! Yes, it’s a lot like being a game show host, or a zookeeper (I get those confused a lot).

You also forgot one of Tom’s qualifications was that he is willing to drive almost anywhere and do anything… Heck we sent him to Sweden – or wherever the heck B&O was… can’t remember, I was too busy sipping Margaritas and racing my new Ferarri.

Hey Tom and J, I really appreciate you guys answering my questions. Yeah, my cat loves to rip up my grilles but he never goes deep enough to hit any drivers. I was just wondering if the tweeters would become sibilant or muffled because my house is really dusty. You guys nailed it with the qualifications question I wish I could be a reviewer in my spare time just for the fact that I could have av gear coming through my house. I always want new gear. I’M ADDICTED!! I constantly readjust my setup, ie -distances, toe-in, spl levels, sub placement, and when I get a new movie I can’t wait to watch it to see if the surround tracks were well recorded. I like the fact that J tries to review with regard to emotional response. That is what I want out of my system, I want beautiful chocolatey fidelity with tactile bass output, don’t we all?

PS- Don’t leave your cats with J people

Ohh yeah, Tom it’s Matt. I’m the one who called you about the Monster THX speakers. I want to see if you reviewed them if you could put your loathing for them aside to be objective.

You guys spent 15 or more minutes on what to do about the cat and speakers combination and never mentoned a few things that I was thinking.

1. Declaw the animal.
2. Place a cat scratcher nearby which may entice the animal to go for it rather than the speakers or at least limit the contact some.
3. Spray copious amounts of citrus spray in the area of the speaker grills. Cats typically don’t like it.

4. Take the cat to Wal-mart…. Then come home… alone.

I like #4.

J I once had a cat. Once. I think it pushed my limits the day I came home and found 1/2 of the cactus plant I bought my wife for Mothers Day eaten.

On the same note, my brothers Syberian Huski would eat his remote controls when they left him home alone for more than 1 hr.

As far as I am concerned, give me speakers NOT pets 🙂

Don’t sweat it coheed. These guys are concerned more with their speaker sensititvity, than their own. Gotta have thick skin ’round these parts.

One of the reasons I bought Canton Ergo speakers is that they have alluminum speakers grills. Even though my cats were de-clawed, they still like to run their paws on tall item (like speakers). The soft fabric on speakers will get damaged even without claws.

BTW- This is the BEST one yet!!!!!! “J” is a keeper!
