Bio: Clint DeBoer
Owner of Pro Tool Reviews
Clint’s career has covered nearly the entire realm of audio and video production. After graduating at the top of his class with an Associates Degree in Recording Engineering, Clint began working for Soundelux in 1994, one of the largest post-production companies specializing in audio for feature films & television. Working on a myriad of feature films, Clint developed and honed the skills necessary to discern great sound quality and design great soundtracks as a dialogue editor, foley editor, and sound designer. Years later, Clint moved into the expanding area of video editing, where he served as the company’s Senior AVID Video Editor for three years. Working for such clients as Universal Pictures, Hollywood Pictures, Paramount Home Entertainment, NASA, Universal Studios, Planet Hollywood, SEGA and others, Clint dealt extensively with matters of film & video editing, color correction, and digital video & MPEG compression.
When he’s not remodeling part of his house or playing with the latest AV receiver or loudspeaker, Clint enjoys life as a husband, father and avid reader. He has a degree in recording engineering, carries several THX certifications (Technician I and II, THX Video), and is ISF Level II Certified. He has been involved in multimedia and/or online publishing in one form or another for the past 18 years (including being the Editor-in-Chief of Audioholics.com from 2002-2013). In 2008, Clint was invited to be part owner in what was then The Audioholics Store (later to become Audiogurus).
Today, Clint is the Editor-in-Chief of the largest power tool review publication, Pro Tool Reviews. They critically review hundreds of hand tools, power tools, and accessories each year to see which products are best for the construction industry professional and serious DIYer. If you’re building your own home theater, that might be a good place to start looking for what you need to get the job done.
